Handmade Christmas Ornaments

December 1st is just around the corner, which is (as I understand) in Australia, the traditional day to decorate your Christmas tree. If you are interested in doing some handmade ornaments this year, I thought I'd give you a little heads up to some pretty ones on the web.

Craft Snob have been doing a "Handmade Ornament Parade," showcasing all the lovelies you can make yourself. I really like the ones above - simple and effective. I think they'd be great in a range of neutrals (seeing as I can't get neutrals off the brain). The simple clay ornaments on Craft Snob have my heart palpitating.

These stylishly simple stars are made from recycling old soft drink cans - how sweet is that!?

I really love these recycled book pages as a Christmas ornament. I think I might even love it more without the embellishment in the centre, being the Spartan that I am.

These ornaments are made from a recycled tissue box!

Someone with the crafting ability of a stump could make these cute heart shaped ornaments. They're easily customizable for any colour scheme.

Pretty orange orbs - what a fun craft for adults and older kids!

If you have a baby who's about to have a first Christmas, this is a sweet DIY. I think you can figure it out just from the picture, but I found it here.

  1. Aww, I'm so doing that baby bauble! Too cute. We have so many Christmas craft & baking projects going on this year that I've seriously considered starting my own blog to document it all. Can't wait to see what you're up to!
