So. I'm here again.

*creak*

That's the sound of me opening the door to my blog just a tiny little crack to peek inside. I've been thinking lately about wanting to blog again. Not as much as I used to, and not about the same things. The time off has changed me - life has changed me. I feel a little sheepish to be back here, but I find myself drawn to writing once more. I can make no promises to visit regularly, but if you want to check in sporadically, I might have a little something for you to read sometimes. I have found blogging a good way to simply store my recipes or things that I've done, and refer to this place often. For that reason alone, I will probably stick in a few posts here and there. Oh and on top of that, spammers have found my blog a nice little target because it's relatively inactive and I'm sick of getting notifications about it. Perhaps a few posts may scare them off? Fat chance.

In the meantime, a little update on us. When I finished up blogging in January, I was (just quietly) a month pregnant with our second little one. She is now here, our second precious daughter. We are still getting to know her more, but at six weeks, she is growing rapidly, feeding well, sleeping 6 hour stretches at night (hallelujah!) and expanding her lungs with plenty of vigorous crying sessions. I look forward to seeing what type of personality she has and becoming better acquainted with this princess. She is, in many ways, already different to her sister. Is that a surprise?

Life is full, but not hard. We love our girls to bits. Our firstborn is about to turn two - how did she grow up in the blink of an eye? This girl makes me heart sing. She is near to perfection. Gorgeous, funny, independent, smart, sweet and oh-so-full-of-life. Things really do improve as they get older. I love this age.
